The people at Lakepoint church sponsor over 50 children through our partner at VisionTrust in Ayacucho, Peru, where the children receive daily meals and instruction at Maranatha Church & Learning Center. Lakepoint has invested in the learning center and more recently the new orphanage to allow them to accommodate more children. We take an annual in-person trip to Peru for helping with hands-on projects such as painting, tiling, helping with materials for new modern bathrooms, and even constructing a new roof so their outdoor area could be used during the warmer summer days. During these trips we spend time with the children we sponsor along with their families, to get a better understanding of the issues these families deal with on a daily basis.
